Appeal for help in treating a child with cancer - Lamjung

The family of Child, a blood cancer patient of Besishahar Municipality-4, Purankot, has sought help for his treatment.

His father Dhan Bahadur Gurung has appealed for help for the treatment of 13-year-old Nischal Gurung who has been undergoing treatment for the past 17 months.

Nischal, who is studying in class 6 at Earthali Paradise School in Besishahar, was taken to Kathmandu for treatment 17 months ago after suffering from a sore throat.  During the medical examination, the doctor involved in her treatment said that she had blood cancer.  Gurung, who was initially tested at Ishan Hospital, was later shifted to Grandi Hospital and is currently undergoing treatment at Kanti child Hospital, said his father Dhan Bahadur Gurung.

Stating that more than Rs 2.5 million has been spent for the treatment of the child, the victim's family has appealed for help as they do not have financial resources for further treatment.  He said that Gurung, who was working abroad, had returned home for the treatment of his son and all the money he had earned and ancestral property had been spent on his treatment.

According to the doctor, the child is undergoing phased treatment and needs to be treated for a long time.  Stating that Janeten has been paying for the treatment till now, the family has requested for help as more money is needed.  Anyone who wants to help in Gurung's treatment can contact the mobile number 9846648487.
